NIPCCD- निप्पक्कड represents National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development. This is well known as NIPCCD that is dedicated to voluntary action research, documentation and training promotion in the overall domain of child and women development.

The Nipccd Delhi was established in 1966 under the 1860 Societies Registration Act. The aegis functions under the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Thus, to cater to the requirements that are region specific in the country, over a period of time, the institute has established four Regional centers. They are in 1978 at Guwahati, 1980 at Bangalore, 1982 at Lucknow, and 2001 in Indore.

NIPCCD Institute

The institute operates as the apex institution for the functionaries to offer training for the Integrated Child Development Services program.  They are the nodal resource agency that is entrusted with the training as well as the capacity building responsibility of functionaries at the regional and national level, under the Integrated Child Protection new scheme. It is designated by the nodal institution to impart training on two issues mainly the Prevention of women children traffic and child rights for SAARC countries.

The expertise and the performance of the institute in 1985 were recognized by UNICEF and was awarded for its excellent contribution the Maurice Pate Award in the Child Development field.
